Customer photo review of GXMMAT Soft Kettlebell

I own full sets of kettlebells, and this one is noticeably different from my traditional cast-iron versions. Rather than having a solid metal body and handle, this kettlebell has a softer exterior with a large plastic handle. There are some advantages to this design, but also a few limitations worth considering. I ordered the 25 lb version because that's a weight I didn't already have in my collection. The first thing I noticed was how much larger it is compared to my traditional kettlebells. I’ve included photos showing it next to my 15 lb and 20 lb kettlebells for comparison. Despite weighing only 5–10 lbs more, it's substantially bulkier. I tested it with kettlebell swings and actually really liked the larger handle. It gives me plenty of room to establish a secure, comfortable grip, which I sometimes find more challenging with smaller cast-iron kettlebell handles. One of the biggest advantages is the softer body. Certain kettlebell movements, such as windmills and armbars, involve holding the weight overhead or close to your face. I've always had a legitimate fear of accidentally dropping a heavy iron kettlebell in those positions. While dropping any 25 lb weight could cause serious injury, the softer exterior may reduce some of the impact compared to solid iron. I also appreciate that it's less likely to damage my floors when working out indoors. However, this design isn't suitable for every kettlebell exercise. For example, I wouldn't use it for kettlebell renegade rows because the large, soft body and plastic handle aren't designed to provide the stable support needed for that movement. The plastic handle is also something I'd be cautious about with repeated heavy use, although I haven't experienced any problems with it so far. Another consideration is that you're purchasing only one kettlebell. Many of my workouts involve using a pair, so I would need a second one to incorporate it into certain exercises. Overall, I think this is a useful alternative to traditional iron kettlebells, particularly for people who train indoors and want something a little more forgiving around their floors and body. I enjoyed using it for swings, and the oversized handle was surprisingly comfortable. It isn't as versatile or compact as my iron kettlebells, but it definitely has a place depending on how and where you train.

Soft kettlebells are great when you need to be quite around others and still want to workout. They are also beneficial if you are concerned about damaging the flooring since each kettlebell in this set has a thick cushioned sand filled bottom. This is a very nice starter set for those looking for lighter quieter weights and don't mind them taking up more room than traditional kettlebells do. Included is a 10, 15 and 20 lb soft kettlebell. Each one is clearly labeled so you know how much they weigh. They are also color coded if that makes it easier for you. The handles are extra wide allowing for two handed movements if you want, but still light enough for single hand movements as well. These handles are lightly textured to keep from slipping out of your hands even if your palms get sweaty. Despite being larger than typical metal kettlebells of the same weight these still work well for all of the kettlebell moves that I tried (swings, cleans, bicep curls, lateral raises, lunges and squats). I included two photos of what these look like, my second photo is a close up showing how much each weighs.

The 25-pound kettlebell features excellent durability and construction; it is unlikely to rupture upon impact with the floor. The cushioned base effectively protects flooring during drops, while the soft grip enhances handling. Although the design and tactile experience closely resemble a standard kettlebell, the overall dimensions are larger than expectations. Quality is good and the weight feels exact. I give this product four stars. The pricing is consistent with high-quality alternatives.

This is a neat alternative kettlebell to have in the gym collection. I have another one that is of a similar soft design and I have always been partial to it. This one here is more like if a sandbaf medicine ball was attached to a handle. So it definitely has a different feel than a traditional metal kettlebell does. So the standard kettlebell exercises of swings, snatches, and clean and presses all have a different flow to them from the sand shifting. Not bad but a different experience than a traditional KB. For all the alternative KB exercises. This unit is great for. Its got a nice wide handle and angled grip. So it's great for goblet squats, curls, tricep extensions, rows, and all kinds of other hanging weight exercises. And it also works great holding it from the bell part as it feels like a medicine ball. The softness definitely works great for making as little noise as possible. And I can set it down or even drop it quietly. Now the plastic handle feels fine on all the lifts. Over time, might be more wear on my hands than the metal and who knows how long it wil really last comparatively. But it's still an overall excellent addition to have to my home gym and compliments my other KBs very nicely.

This soft-bottom kettlebell is excellent quality and very easy to use. The soft base is especially convenient because it stays quiet when set down, unlike traditional kettlebells that can make a loud impact or damage hard flooring. It is a practical, well-designed option for home workouts and strength training.

A bit pricey but are true to their stated weight, easy on unprotected floors and toes, and made with good quality materials. Good texture on the grips ensuring sweaty hands dont slip off. Filled with a sand like substance. Thick rubbery/plastic material but firm handle.

I've been adding more equipment to my home gym and figured I'd give this 25-pound kettlebell a shot. It's a little different from traditional kettlebells, particularly with its softer exterior and cushioned bottom. For starters, it does weigh 25 pounds, so no complaints there. The bottom is noticeably softer than a conventional kettlebell, which is a nice touch, especially if you're concerned about damaging your floors. The wide handle also looks like it should accommodate different exercises and grip positions. Overall, it's a nice alternative to a traditional cast-iron kettlebell, particularly for home workouts. I tested it out for a quick exercise and have no complaints . I can't speak to its long-term durability just yet, but my initial impressions are positive.
