This large mat works perfectly for my home gym. It's a tad short for my space but definitely workable. I love the smooth, thick material. Looks and feels great! Much better than the connectable squares-type mats. One large uniform floor is a big improvement! Very happy.
I was looking for a cleanable surface. My prior mat was somewhat porous and it was impossible to get dust and pet hair out of. This one was the largest one I could find for my space and literally fits like a glove on the width. I have the gym flooring on top of the tile in the room and it's the perfect surface for all of my workouts. Very happy. There was no smell and getting the roll out of the ends was easy. It comes with some straps if you want to store it rolled up. It also had a storage sleeve if you really wanted to protect it during storage. I'm leaving mine out so I just tossed it.
I needed to buy something to protect my tile floor from my stage Pole. Perfect thickness and stage is not slipping. Not cheap but you get what you pay for it was well worth it! I like that a pair of wrist stability gloves came with it, very nice gloves. Mat is portable if you wanted to roll it up it comes with straps. Not too heavy. This mat is perfect I love it! Buy it!
I love the look of this in my home gym, the grip of my shoes on this mat, and how seamless it was to set up. I disliked, however, that to this day, the edges still haven't been flattened (it came in rolled up) though I tried everything. I also disliked the price, but I did need this to complete my home gym look, and it was the only size that would fit it in my area after I cut it down a tad. 4/5
Nice gym mat for large area. Wish it was 10 x8 feet, but this is the closest size I can get.If placing heavy objects on, it will leave indentation but that will eventually go away

Bought this in 8' x 7' for home workouts. It has cushion, I don't slide around on the workout surface like on cheap mats and it stays on place on the floor. I do everything from Calisthetics, yoga, weights, resistance bands etc its been great so far. I've been using it for three weeks ( at least 3 times a week) so far I like it.
This mat is great, especially if you have animals. We have a dog and cat which can be messy with fur everywhere. This mat is very easy to clean and the material is so strong I don't have to worry about my cat clawing it and destroying it like our previous foam mat.Also it's comfortable. I'm able to be on my knees or working abs with discomfort. The size fits perfectly for our workout room and we don't have to worry about it slipping or moving while doing in place cardio/yoga.
We LOVE this mat! It grips the floor, it grips our feet, it literally keeps us grounded. It fits the space perfectly as well. We use it with our yoga mats and without for basic workouts. My only criticism is that it's not comfortable for doing floor exercises without a secondary mat. That being said, it keeps my floor clean and free of scratching and my mat stays put when I'm using it. I wouldn't want to do a workout without it now.

This is a nice large mat that rolls up for easy storage. It is durable and is good for exercise if you don't need a lot of padding. I have it down in my basement on a cement floor and it is not enough padding for me. As you can see from the pictures I placed it next to the common square mats you interlock. It is quite a bit thinner than those.
I have replaced a carpet with luxury vinyl floor in my home gym and needed something to protect the new floor. This exercise mat is spacious, thick and durable. I have set some home gym equipment on top of them. They do work very well and looks nice. They are comfortable to walk on and they do dampen the sound somewhat. These are excellent for a home gym or workout area. I highly recommend them.
This mat is MUCH heavier duty than I expected! Which is excellent. It definitely feels very different than a yoga mat. Much more dense and durable. It weighs almost 35lbs!! It's not exactly easy to roll it up and move it around, so I'd only recommend using it in a space where you can just leave it. I mostly do circuit training with some HIIT mixed in, and I think this mat will be perfect for those types of workouts. Since it is so dense, it doesn't provide as much cushioning as a 7mm yoga mat - but if I'm doing anything that I need extra cushion then I'll add a yoga mat on top, simple as that. There is a slight smell to it (it's made of PVC so it's a sort of plastic-y smell), but it does dissipate after awhile. Unlike rubber mats, which smell horrible forEVER (even the highest quality ones). The entire front and back surface arrived in perfect condition, no defects or ripples or folds or anything like that. The bottom side is the one with all the round dots. It does come with a list of things to do to keep your mat in good shape (photo attached). Basic things, like wiping it down with a wet cloth and don't expose it to long-term sunlight. I also plan on NOT wearing shoes on it, so I think I'll be able to make it last a long time. I will update after a few months either way though. Overall, so far I'd say I'm quite impressed with this heavy duty mat and would recommend it! Hope this helps!
I recently added a wall-mounted "mirror machine" to my home gym and though it came with a mat, I wanted something to cover a larger area in my carpeted basement so I had more room to move around while being on a mat for support and to keep my sweat from dripping on the carpet. This mat has been a fantastic solution for me.First impressions when seeing the box is this thing is BIG. I was able to get it in the house and set up myself, but best to have two people as it's a bit awkward to carry and also quite heavy. Setup was easy, just take off the velcro strips and roll out the mat. Not only does this give me a larger padded area and prevents my sweat from hitting the carpet/floor... I think this also looks fantastic and helps put the finishing touches on my workout area. Myself and others in the house have used daily for about a week and have had no issues with wear, and cleaning is very easy with either a rag for spot-cleaning or a mop. Also, in terms of thickness, this is right in line with the thickest mat that I own, so it provides plenty of cushion which is a big plus for me. Overall, nothing but positive things to say about this item and so glad that I've had the opportunity to try this out... I'm even considering getting another for a secondary area mostly used for yoga and stretching. I think the price is quite reasonable and would recommend without hesitation based on my experience. Exactly what we needed for the gym. The mat is reasonably cushy, a little tacky on the surface. It is heavy enough not to slide around.

This was the perfect size and exactly what I was looking for. I have a smaller workout area and wanted something large to be able to do multiple exercises on. Cushion thickness is great as well. I was a little concerned when I received the box because it was torn up and falling apart from shipping (wasn’t really taped up that well). However everything was packaged nicely and came in a protected sleeve so there was no damage.
Put it under our large free-weight stand.Does as needed and looks good. Only wish it was larger.

Adds a bit of padding and grip, great size
This thing is a beauty! It took a while to find this specific size that fits our space and that fits my husband and I while working out or stretching at the same time. It came nicely rolled and protected with a long plastic bag and inside a really nice reusable bag with a closure, it also came with a set of weight lifting gloves so nice surprise! It rolled out nice and flat, no weird smell and no creases. It smelled new but that's not a problem. It went away after a couple of days. It's not that thick though so if you're expecting it to be your giant yoga mat you might still need to get something else, which we have anyway. I'm happy that our workout space looks professional and also the price was high enough that it'll make me work out so I don't feel guilty about the expense ??. All in all, I definitely recommend it.
It's fine, but definitely a bit thinner than I expected, I guess I should have paid more attention to the measurement. I kind of assumed it was the same as some of the other mats I have. If you are looking for horse stall mat, this ain't it.
Great quality for the price!
Perfect for my needs. This mat is walkable with shoes and so far is holding up well with three dogs that frequent the area. Lays flat after a day, prior to laying flat has just a little curve on ends. I was originally concerned that this mat did not have a beveled edge and that vacuuming would rip apart the edges. This is not a problem, the mat is not thick enough to require a beveled edge for a vacuum to run over it. Easy clean up.
The packaging and mat itself really impressed me. This mat is very nice and came in a nice bag if I need to store it. The packaging kept it in perfect shape so it had no marks when it was rolled out. Highly recommend. Perfect for a Tonal machine.
It's slippery. And oily. I don't know why. I think the "non-slip coating" is what's making it oily and slippery, ironically. I got it for tai chi, and at first I didn't like my feet sliding around, but then I realized it's actually helpful some of the time. Anyways, I'm hoping the oiliness and slipperyness goes away eventually. Also, it smells weird. Good buy, otherwise. I got a gorilla grip rug pad gripper to go underneath, so it's nice and soft.
This mat doesn't slide on carpet. It is great quality. No chemical odors. I'm very pleased with it.

Very durable & exactly what we needed
I work out in the basement and the concrete floor sucks. This gives just enough padding to take the strain off your feet when lifting and doing crunches. Takes the hardness of the floor off your spine!
I use this mat in an unfinished basement on the concrete floor where I have a home gym setup complete with weights, benches, bikes, treadmill, etc. I have multiple mats from different vendors and they all have some quirks. This is no different. The best thing about this mat is the size. it is definitely large enough to place it under some equipment and have extra room beside that equipment. The bad thing is how thin this mat is. For this price, I have other mats that are 1.5 to twice as thick as this one. According to what I am doing, there are times when I definitely would like a thicker mat for cushioning of my half century joints. There is the usual smell when you first roll it out and the normal tendency to not lay fully flat. Both of those things did dissipate over time and this mat is definitely better than the bare concrete. Hope that helps someone today.

I practice muay thai, jiujitsu and just like to workout when I can. I have hardwood flooring in most of my apartment that makes working out there rather difficult. So when I came across this large exercise mat by Gxmmat I was excited to try it out. First thing I noticed upon arrival was, "Wow, this is a lot of mat"! In it's carry bag it stands about 7ft tall and weighs about 40 pounds. Setup is pretty simple and it's easy to unroll. However, rolling it back up to put away can be a workout of it's own. The mat is made of 7mm high-density foam. It's non-slip, provides good cushioning and feels very durable. Included with the mat is a carry bag, 3 velcro storage straps and a pair of workout gloves. But you're gonna need larger hands for the gloves to fit right. Overall I think this is a great workout mat. It is a little expensive but seems really well made and worth the price. I've been using it a lot since I got it and absolutely love it. I definitely recommend.
