The grip of the GXMMAT improves with use. The best way to break in your mat is practice, practice, practice. If you find yourself slipping initially, use towels on the surface of the mat. Lightly spray towel to aid grip.

After your workout, there's no need to spend extra time on maintenance. Mix warm water with a couple of drops of mild dish soap (without bleach), then lay flat the mat and use a soft cloth or mop to easily remove dust and sweat, leaving your mat fresh and clean.
3. Where should I store my GXMMAT mat?+
GXMMAT Mats can be rolled up and secured using the three velcro storage straps that are included with your mat. Remember to make the top side facing outwards which keeps the corners of the mat flat when practicing. Excellent quality, delivered and packaged very well. I'm using it to do cardio and is perfect for that. I've been starting some yoga but my old bones find it not cushioned enough. Adding a yoga mat for just the times I do yoga work well. Overall, I am very happy and would recommend this mat. I had a question about how to clean the mat after exercise and customer service was very supportive and responsive right away. I am very happy with my product. I also wanted to mention that the mat came with a free pair of weight lifting gloves that are of excellent quality that my husband really likes!
I'm super excited about my new mat! The 6x6ft is a great size. I'm using this mat in my physical therapy practice. It is more than enough space for me to demonstrate a movement while my client follows along. I expect it will hold up for years.
Why did it take so long for me to come across this item and whats worse is I took forever contemplating which size to buy for nearly 3 weeks! The mat arrived and 6x6 is the PERFECT SIZE & EXACTLY what I needed with plenty of room for the barbell portion of my workout along with burpees, push-ups, etc. The mat is thick enough so that I can be rough with the bar and not worry about floor damage! Another plus is that I am able to roll it back up to store away everyday. A bit pricier than other brands, but I do not regret this buy (you pay for what you get) and totally recommend GXMMAT!!
I love the size of this mat! It's comfortable enough for floor work. The most important thing for me is that it doesn't slide on our laminate flooring. It's the only one I've found that stays out when doing HIIT workouts. The sides don't lay quite flat but just a tiny bit of lift. Overall, I'm loving this mat!
It's a bit pricy, but after a couple of weeks it has really held up and for not being super thick, it still gives a decent cushion. All in all I'm very happy with it and would recommend it if your looking for a good all around gym mat.
The size is perfect for 1 person to exercise. I have been using it every single day for 2 months and still looks great. The only complaint I have is the edges don't lay flat. I put dumbbells on the edge to make it flat, but it ruined the color and left dumbbell marks. Tried to clean it but won't go away.
I love this mat! It is the perfect size for floor work (at 5'6" I can lay on it in any direction.) I mostly use it for stretching and core, and am on my knees and back a lot. I wanted it super plush so I added a piece of carpet pad under. It is great!!! Even when doing planks I have experienced no slipping. It really good quality!!!!
I'm very pleased with this mat. I've had it for several months, and it is still in great shape. It's good for putting under large equipment and for working out on. It's very comfortable to step on, and I know it's protecting my very old hardwood floors. Also, my cats love lounging on it, but there are no tiny tell-tale holes from cat claws. This mat is worth the price.
I was worried the mat wouldn't be thick enough to provide adequate cushioning for HIIT workouts, but it has been great so far. I use it over carpet in my basement and it doesn't move. Large enough (6x6) for me to do lunges, burpees, planks, etc. Slight rubbery smell out of the box, but not overbearing.
This is a nice thick mat, great for protecting our wood floor. We used it for our weight lifting setup. I wish it was a little bigger for the price, but the quality is good.
Good grip, cushion, quality and value! Great workout surface! Seems to be waterproof, too!I have had this mat in my basement gym for several weeks. It is heavy enough to lay flat and not shift on the floor while using it. The surface provides enough cush for my pissy knees. It feels great on all body parts. The surface does dent while using it but recovers quickly enough. Mine has a few slight impressions from the shipping straps but nothing that affects use. I shopped tons of other options and am frankly surprised I could purchase something of this quality for the price. Recommend. Also to note, customer service, if needed should be exceptional. Vendor reached out to me to ensure I was happy with the product.

Excellent exercise mat.The exercise mat is great. Did not smell when I opened it and it has provided a stable platform for my workouts. I have been using it daily and it holds really well when I jump or move quickly on it. It also helps absorb my jumping so that it puts less stress on my knees and reduces the noise levels. I would definitely recommend!
The mat itself is everything we hoped for and is exactly what we were looking for.
There were issues in receiving the mat in no way the fault of the vendor. In fact after the USPS could not locate the package we contacted support and received wonderful care from Zoe. They immediately shipped a replacement and at our request shipped it by FedEx. It arrived on the same day USPS notified us it had arrived. The packaging was very much destroyed while the mat itself was well protected and in great shape.
We had intended to return the second mat but were enjoying the one we ordered that we decided to keep it. Zoe and everyone including her manager demonstrated such a high level of customer care and focus that we would highly recommend not just the mat but GXMMat as a company and its staff.

It shipped in a good amount of time for something so large, using the website was without issue (too rare), they were rated trustworthy to deal with by outside sources, and the mat appears to be good quality. Their brand is noted in the underside of the mat, which shows they’ll want it to do well for a while (if they expected it to fall apart quickly, they wouldn’t want that).
I’m athletic, so the mat seems really good, based on my experience. I can’t speak to long-term, yet. I’m, personally, using it to go under a large standing desk, which isn’t what it’s made for, I’m aware; but was unable to find size and durability from other companies. This company has refrained from politics, as far as I know, which excluded another manufacturer for me. For my unintended purposes- color, size, and durability will prob be really good; as it’s made to handle gym equipment, so may be able to handle chair use for those who don’t want to stand. It isn’t as cushy as I’d like, but it wasn’t made for that and will be better than ruining the carpet below or using a hard desk mat.

The is mat is perfect for strength training, Plyo, and yoga. I am so glad I went with this option instead of the tiles. It doesn't move. It provides support and protects your floors. It is more expensive than the tile options but it is so worth it. I have no regrets!
Takes a little while to lay flat, and has a slight odor when first unrolled. When doing floor work, hands may slip a little, but overall fantastic gym flooring. Comfortable for BeachBody workouts, weights, suspension training, etc. Great under equipment too. Super easy to keep clean.
Best Workout Mat.After buying and returning 3 different kinds of workout mat on Amazon for my HIIT, I finally found this mat. It's definitely the keeper. It doesn't skid on the hard wood floor like the other ones . The pair of gloves that came as a bonus is big help if you have sweaty hands. I wish the mat could be provide a little more cushion because it is a little hard on your knees but for the price, it's a good buy.
Great for heavy use, but take care because it could get slick if dripping sweat!This mat is sweet! I use in on top of a hardwood floor to do the p90x workouts. This means i use it for yoga, heavy cardio, and everything in between. It stays put and is comfortable but not spongy (perfect). The top is very dirable and don't forsee it wearing out anytime soon. The only drawback of the top layer is that it can be a little slippery if wet. I get soaked with sweat during most workouts....If you know p90x, you'll know what I mean. Therefore, I need to keep toweling off or my sweat will make the mat slick. I workout barefoot, and am sure it would be less of a problem if you workout with shoes on that have decent soles. Regardless, i love this mat.
Pricey but worth it.This mat is big. I purchased this Everlast Dual Station Heavy Bag Stand, 100-lb, Speedbag, Value Bundle and could not get it to stop moving with just weights. The mat is the perfect size to place under it. There is no longer any sliding during a workout. The mat is easily cleaned off with a quick sweep for dust/debris and wiped off with damp rag for liquids. The mat came in a protective cover and was rolled up. I rolled the mat out and placed the equipment on top, and I have never had an issue with the mat rolling or sliding across the garage floor.
