Great mat. Extremely tough, comes as described with straps for rolling it up (if necessary or to move...). It's thick, "gives" just the right amount, and does not move around on our painted garage floor (epoxy painted). One gripe - the mat (ours are the 6x10' version) is extremely consistent on the 6' width dimension. That is, it appears to be machine cut (or made to 6' wide) as the mat is 100% straight ACROSS the 6' width along the entire mat. On the other hand, the length at 10' appears to be have hand cut. It is not EXACTLY 10' long from edge to edge. The cut across the 6' width is a bit wavy. We have two mats side by side. If the mats were 100% square, one would expect two mats to align along all edges. See the accompanying image. Because the length is not a perfectly straight 90 degree cut, the ends don't match up. We butted our mats along the long edge; the mats form a surface 12' by 10' wide. The butt is perfect as those edges appear to be machine cut. In our case, this worked out great as you can barely see where the mats are butted; the sides are that straight. If you intended to butt two mats together end-to-end to form a 6' x 20' surface, you would definitely see a gap between the two mats. Again, not a huge deal, likely something you would not notice with one mat by itself.
GET IT - DON'T GET IT? This exercise mat earns a solid 100% GET IT from me. We moved to a new house last August, and there was a "bonus room" where the washer and dryer were that we weren't quite sure what to do with. With everything going on right now with people needing to stay home etc, it became very clear to us that we should turn this into a workout room, and not wanting to workout on the wood floor in that room - this mat is the perfect solution. I got the 10X6' and I can see this thing lasting 20-30 or more years and it will probably outlast most people's capability to work out. I have never owned a product like this before so I have nothing to compare it to but it is super high quality materials and very well made. It comes in a convenient carry bag if you need to store it, and 3 Velcro straps to keep it rolled up in the bag. I have a big TV on a rolling stand, and I roll it right in front of my exercise bike when I am doing my spin class, and then roll it out from in front of the bike for online streaming yoga, or cardio exercise classes. Because it is a good strong material, it is quite heavy, but once it is in place on your floor it won't move no matter how strenuous your workout is. I workout on it for about 3 hours a day, and have done for a while. It is super comfortable as well as durable, and the mat stands up to everything I'm doing no problem. If you leave weights on it, it will leave an indent, but after an hour or so it will return to normal. If you are reading these reviews, then you are probably in the market for something like this, and not the jigsaw mats that you piece together but eventually come apart. The price reflects the quality with this product, and even if it only lasted 5 years (it will last way beyond that) then the cost per day to have an incredible mat to work out on is 16 cents or 8 cents at the 10 year mark. Some people mentioned using weights to keep the mat from rolling up - I did not experience this at all - I unrolled it and it has been sitting perfectly ever since. Getting the pair of gloves with the mat was a real bonus because they are great quality, and not cheap quality. I appreciate them every day I work out. PROS: Insane quality Does exactly what it is supposed to do. The mat is perfect for our space. It is easy to clean and holds up great with heavy equipment.
Good quality packaging, it unrolled easily and only one side needed some weight to flatten out (was nice and flat after a couple of hours!). No weird smells, the thickness is perfect and it is easy to clean. Its firm but not hard, still plan to use a yoga mat when I need extra cushion. Two sided, I chose the smooth side as the top so I didn't get circle marks on my legs when doing floor exercises. Great quality for the price.
My husband and I have used the puzzle piece gym mats in the past to cover the garage flooring for our home gym. We disliked that style of flooring because they would hold moisture and were difficult to get clean. I wanted wall-to-wall gym flooring but didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for it. I bought 6 mats to cover my gym area. They get the job done, but I will say that not every mat is cut precisely. Some were off by up to 2 inches while other sides were cut at a slight angle. Honestly, that bothered me in the beginning, but I just overlapped the mats that didn't fit well. Overall, I am pleased with this product.

I expected to receive a rolled up mat. Yes, that's what I received. However, the mat came with a very nice storage bag and straps to keep the mat rolled up while stored. Great product it is as described I would say even better. The size is accurate, looks great and seems to be very durable. As expected this is sturdy to workout with shoes it is not soft at all, it was delivered on time quite fast for the size I might say. Like a giant yoga mat!I'm so happy I got the opportunity to review this product because it is actually helping me to be safe with my routine. I'm easily injured doing any hard impact exercises, esp my knees, ankles, wrists. This has made it so much easier (and safer) to exercise. I can feel a huge difference in my stamina because I'm not hurting my joints or back. I can just focus on my muscles moving. To be able to have such a large surface area to stretch out and do pilates/intervals/whatever is so motivating. I think this would be great for anyone but especially people who suffer from auto-immune related joint pain. Its made a difference in my life!

I initially purchased some of the cheap, interlocking puzzle piece type mats for my weight room and really wish I had just started with this. Don't bother with the cheap ones, they don't stay in place or hold up to use. I had to replace them in less than a month. I anticipate this may lasting for years and years. Very satisfied

We bought this for ease of multiple people working out in the same space and it is amazing. I will say it's not comfortable like other mats, though. If you are doing planks, or workouts on your elbows, knees, and back, there is zero padding for comfort, but if comfortability isn't the main concern, this is a great option. Also, the storage bag that comes with it is pretty small, and it's almost impossible to roll the mat tightly enough to fit back in the bag.
This mat is perfect for our home gym area. We had the puzzle tiles from another company, and they kept coming apart. I debated on this mat due to cost, but SO worth it. Our Peloton tread is on one side and free space on the other. Highly recommend!
I spent what seemed like literally forever trying to find the perfect mat, and I think that I finally found it. I got a Concept 2 rower, and knew I needed a mat, but I also wanted to lift weights and do other exercises, and I have new hardwood floors in my bedroom so I knew that I needed to protect the floors from myself as well as the rower. When you really account for size, as well as cost there are really only two options GXMMAT or Gorilla Mats Extra Large Exercise mats (don't put large/heavy equipment on a yoga mat) I decided to go with GXMMAT because of the reviews that were largely positive, and the lack of sponsored content on YouTube. When a product is good, you don't need to market it heavily, and this is a good product. Mine was sticky on the top part when I first unrolled it, and it's supposed to be but if you're not feeling it. Get a wet rag wipe it down and then immediately dry it, and it will go away, or it will go away on its own. I got the 10 x 6 and it fits the rower perfectly and gives me enough room on the side to do burpees, even lunges and that's saying something because I'm 6ft 4in tall.
Bought this mat as a Christmas gift for my wife. It arrived and when it was spread out there is a 2 inch tear/cut out of the side. My wife loves the mat however I will not likely buy this brand again due to how it was shipped. For the price it should have been checked for tears, or defects prior to shipping!
Using it for the exam rooms in my veterinary clinic. Saves my knees as I spend a significant amount of time on the floor with my patients. My senior patients appreciate the cushion and not slipping on a slick floor. Cleans up easily. Not one pet has shied away from the surface.
I've had my mat about 9 months and initially loved it. However after about 6 months it was already peeling apart and chunks were flaking off. The mat is not durable enough to wear tennis shoes on for medium intensity work outs.
This is a great, solid workout mat for advanced workouts! Have done P90 x3, MBFA, LIIFT4, 21 Day Fix Extreme and it's great for any HIIT exercises. It's on top of our concrete basement floor and it's not overly cushiony like a yoga mat, but just enough to have solid coverage and comfort. It's got good grip for feet moving all around, doesn't slide on our floor and holds up well. Vacuums off easily. When I am doing floor exercises, I just throw a thin yoga mat on top of the spot I am laying on for a little bit of extra cushion. But that works out just fine. This mat is worth it!
if you are looking for something to protect your floor this will do an adequate job especially if it is concrete. if you are looking for some shock absorption to do workouts, and protect your knees you won't find it here. The padding is too thin and stiff to provide shock protection.
Great mat.Exactly as described. I didn't really notice a smell like others. Does not slide on concrete and I am doing P90x on it. I did wipe it down as soon as I got it like the directions said to make it stick and non slick. Very satisfied with it.

Perfect for the garage gym!Spent a lot of time looking at flooring options for our garage gym. This product seemed to check the most boxes and for arguably the best price... and now that I have it, I am extremely happy with the purchase. Mat is stable and does not slide. Evenly cut. Thick enough to drop weights but soft enough to lay and stretch on it. I use it for HIT and Insanity cardio as well. Moisture resistant, so sweat wipes up and smells don't linger. You tend to see footprints, but who cares... Also wish it was a few sq/ft larger, but nevertheless, this is one of my best garage gym purchases ever. 5 stars for sure.
Perfect for Home Gym.The 10'x6'x7cm mat is big enough for two people to use at the same time. This one was purchased specifically for use with shoes. We've purchased this to do our daily Zumba dance routines as well as body combat and Strong by Zumba routines for our home exercise program. The initial reason for this purchase was to protect our hardwood floor, but it has been a very worthwhile all purpose mat for working out right in our living room during the Covid-19 lockdown. It was worth every penny of our investment. We are also very happy they were able to ship to Hawaii and in a very short time as quite a number of large items are not being shipped to Hawaii and if shipped sometimes take up to a month. We received the mat in about two weeks or less.

Excellent quality durable exercise mat.This mat was as advertised, excellent quality, accurate sizing which was important to us. The thickness provides enough padding for dance/ situps/ push ups. calisthenics- etc. This is not a very cushy mat which you might expect at a weight room/ gym but if you put another soft mat under it- you can accomplish that as well- or just buy a thicker grade.
Thick Durable Mat.The mat comes boxed well and has its own cary case. However I doubt I ever use this. We placed our Gym furniture on it to protect our tile floors. Good quality.
Exactly as advertised,it's a great mat for the price. We are using it on a laminate floor and it doesn't slide around at all. it's got the perfect balance of not being to soft for shoes nor too hard for laying on. If you 're doing a lot of ground work you can always put another smaller yoga mat down on it, but this is great for keeping the floors clean and dry. Would certainly purchase again.
Perfect for Home!My partner has a mini gym set up in our garage where there's currently a very thin rug covering the garage floor. This large cushiony gym mat is the perfect replacement. Now besides using the equipment that's out there, he can also use the floor to sit comfortably and do different exercises there. The mat is only about 1/4" thick but it offers a lot of cushion for that small thickness. It's comfortable to sit or lay on, moreso than many rugs. At 10' x 6', it's a good size mat and perfect for 1 or 2 people to work out on. It's also easy for one person to roll it up, should we ever need to park a car in the garage. It smelled quite rubbery out of the box, but hopefully that will dissipate over time (not that the smell of rubber is that bad).
